EDIS is committed to providing evidenced-based support and services. To facilitate the consistent provision of quality early intervention support and services, the MEDCOM CSPD has developed a personnel development certificate program. The certificate program is comprised of ten Core Training Modules that are aligned with the core competencies outlined in the MEDCOM 40-53. These ten modules are required for all early intervention practitioners working in EDIS.
In addition, there are four practice-based portfolio activities that each provider must complete as part of the certification process.
The modules that include competency exams must be passed with a score of 85% or higher. Upon successful completion of each module you will be able to print a certificate of completion. To date some of the modules are still under development. The modules underlined (hyperlinked) above are completed. In addition to the Core Training Modules MEDCOM CSPD will offer Supplemental Training as continuing education opportunities. Certificates of continuing education will be available for all supplemental training activities. The Keeping In Touch (KIT) Newsletter provides another type of continuing education opportunity. Privacy Advisory for the Training Modules-Please refer to the Privacy and Security Notice that describes why this personal information is collected and how it will be used.
